2 (3) Accidental Slave by Claire Thompson I like this genre of BDSM literature. Although the premise at the beginning of the book is unbelievable (a slave auction for businessmen at a fancy club), it's all good after that. The dialog between the two main characters is SO realistic and believable (unlike many, many books of this type), you feel like you are in the room with them. You feel like you know these people. And what they say to each other is a real turn-on. After the first chapter, it was hard to put it down. Hope I can find another like it. One wonders how he does it, whipping, bondage, hot sex, all wrapped in one. The nice thing and novel about this book is the fact the main character enjoyed the servitude, slavery she was forced into. And the ending is good. They just feel.. plastic would be appropriate. 45 (52) Slave Castle by Claire Thompson This is one of the first Claire Thompson books I ever read. It's edgy and sexy, though in the end it's a romance. I found the BDSM scenes intense and very real. Ms. Thompson is such a good writer, she makes any story real, breathing life into the characters, no matter how unlikely the scenario she creates for them. I especially like how she gets inside the heads of the Doms, helping us understand what motivates and moves them. It's an excellent book, though less of a pure romance than her later works. 47 (40) Nomads of Gor (Gorean Saga) by John Norman Nomads of Gor is a book that introduces us to a new region and people for the first time in the series. To this point previous locations were only variations of the "High Cities" of Gor. But the Wagon Peoples were a whole new society with customs and mores of their own. This is what intrigued me to the book. The introduction of Elizabeth Cardwell was also a plus. As a kid when reading the book for the first time I could only imagine how beautiful she was. There were honorable allies such as Kamchak and Harold as well as evil villains like Saphrar of Turia. The entire book is composed of letters from an unnamed leatherman to his nephew, who has demonstrated an interest in the leather lifestyle. The nephew's letters are never shown, but are described by reference and inference. The writing style of the letters is highly formal, but that fits the character who is the author of them.
